Posteress is the artistic alter ego of Angelina Severino, a graphic and brand designer based in Amsterdam. In her artistic practice Angelina transforms graphic design tools such as graphic elements, colour blocks and typography into abstract and minimalistic poster art.
Angelina was born and raised in Russia before the fall of the Soviet Union, therefore her art is influenced by the radical, revolutionary approach of Russian Constructivism and Soviet design.
With her work Angelina aims to show that the poster is not just a functional tool for boosting sales, it is an art form in itself.
