ShyBrainsGetNowt is an art project born from my love of 80s/90s punk flyers and photocopied zines, and a desire to experiment with analogue textures and the warped/wonky elements that only a scanner can provide!
What started as an evening project outside of my day job has turned into a style that I’m really proud of, inspired by Lovecraft, pro wrestling and PS5 – I love the scuffs, scrapes and mistakes that come from physically cutting and pasting each element, and the stark qualities a greyscale image can produce.
Right now I’ve released a number of prints and a crowd-funded custom deck of poker cards but I’d love for this to expand in the near future.
