Profile
With a focus on geometric shape and playful colour, I am a multi-disciplinary designer based in Bradford, West Yorkshire. Brutalism and Modernist architecture is my main source of inspiration, also incorporating sub-cultural references from a large interest in electronic music, rave culture and working-class identity. With a strong eye for colour and a bold signature style, graphic design meets a hands-on approach combining digitally rendered imagery with traditional hand printing processes within my work. Resulting in dynamic prints with a diverse application, in vivid pop colours and clashing patterns with a solid retro aesthetic.
I work across a range of mediums, such as physical collage and hand printing methods, to risograph print and digital processes, often going back and forth between each one to create final pieces.
I am about to graduate from the BA (Hons) Textile Design course at Leeds Arts University, where I returned to study in 2016 as a mature student and ignited my passion for colour, shape and all things pattern and printmaking. I am currently building up my freelance portfolio, collaborating with independent brands to provide graphics and textile prints, and developing a range of art prints and lifestyle products under my own brand name.
