Established in 2015, Tiliqua Press is a small press based in Sydney, Australia. We love printed things and we believe that there are plenty of people who feel the way we do.
We work collaboratively with designers (including providing hands-on experience to design students) and artists to produce useful and interesting printed ‘objects’; prints posters, books, zines, and a magazine for designers. Our primary focus is Australia and New Zealand but we are happy to sell to anywhere really. We expect that these products should also appeal to designers and print lovers all around the globe.
We make and facilitate the making of objects on paper. We love that paper and ink are fabulous to hold, smell and feel, a multi-sensory experience. The tools we have for producing these wonderful objects are a letterpress (with wood and metal type available), and intaglio press and an inkjet printer. After a recent move we now have an exhibition space/gallery as well.
The press, studio and exhibition space are the brainchild of Felix Oppen and Kate Riley.
