Profile
Quadrifluox is an offset printing system that uses custom neon fluorescent inks as the primary four-colour process.
The objective is to enhance and enrich the gamut of the standard four-colour process by giving the print the uv (wood light) reactivity to enable a range of visual effects. The complement with other invisible fluorescent inks leads the system to the achievement of extremely bright and interesting effects.
The system was designed and developed by Piergiuseppe Molinar, a lecturer and printing technician who lives and works between France and Italy.
Two books have been produced that demonstrate the potential of this system with a wealth of visuals, graphics and drawings by many Italian illustrators.
Since 2021 with the 70magenta label, Piergiuseppe has started a micro-publishing route by publishing emerging illustrators and graphic designers with the quadrifluox system.
Although tests have been carried out with other printing techniques, for now the system can best be used with offset printing and possibly with letterpress.
