Hi! I’m Fransje Prins, an Amsterdam-based physicist turned printmaker. I started experimenting with lino cut in January 2021 and quickly fell in love. A lot of the inspiration for my art comes from my figure drawing practice. I am fascinated by the beautiful curves and shapes of the human body. In my work, I try to express the softness of the human form with bold lines and strong contrasts.
I am self-taught and always looking for new ways to improve my work. I also love experimenting and playing around with new techniques, such as intaglio and screenprinting.
