Profile
I studied textile and surface pattern design at Chelsea School of Art. After graduating, I worked as a freelance designer specialising in print for home furnishings and fashion.
I live in rural North Essex where I design and produce my work. I predominately work in linoprint, but also experiment with etching. Inspiration comes from my surroundings where elements of nature and wildlife take shape in my work. I love myths and legends and where I live has countless tales which I like to bring to life in print.
I mostly work in colour and like to print using multiple lino blocks, helping to produce a beautiful vibrancy. I also create single colour prints which tend to be more illustrative as I like to tell stories through my art. I have an ongoing project telling a tale through print and words about a young protagonist.
Recently I have started to design fabric again, as pattern making is a strong element which features throughout my work.
