Profile
Megan Hopkin is a printmaker from Bury St. Edmunds. She is currently studying on her first year of an Art Practice degree at the University of Suffolk. Meg primarily explores the concept of colour and shape in her work, focusing on geometry, pattern and structure with the intention to develop layouts and experiments exploring both the freedoms and restrictions within the print process. Most of Meg’s work comes from working through a range of different approaches. She constantly aims to develop her style and take screen-printing down as many creative avenues as possible. Her work is solely about the use and impact of colour and how it is interpreted to mean different things for different people. The focus is on vibrancy, boldness and the expressive way colour and shape can be celebrated.
