Manfred Makowski opened the Holzpixel Druckwerkstatt (wood pixel printing workshop) to celebrate and promote letterpress printing in his home town of Guetersloh, Germany. Trained as a Graphic Designer, I now mix modern methods with old-school printing techniques on my Vandercook and FAG Standard machines. I have also used the workshop as a gallery, hosting exhibitions and international artist visits from Dafi Kuehne, Roman Klonek, Michael Falkenstein, and Hans-Juergen Soeffker.
