Kath Bell is an artist and print technician who mostly works in relief, screen print and cyanotype, often combing a mixture of these processes to create a hybrid print. She particularly loves to work with lino, letterpress and screenprinting.

Today I’ve been screenprinting Christmas card designs for a Christmas Fairs. I crocheted a snowflake motif that I then used to expose onto my screen. I love exposing actual objects onto a screen because of the intricate marks created through this process.

This month I have been designing, screen printing and then sewing my hand printed fabric into cushions.
I enjoy taking my prints into different print mediums. I cut up and collaged one of my lino prints to create a new pattern with it in Illustrator. This was then screenprinted onto fabric in bright colours to make into cushions.
