Jon Mackay is a professional artist and silk screen printer based near Oxford in the UK.
His editioned prints are based in the edges of memory, the way that memories fragment and merge and fade as time moves on and we get older.
The way my mind plays tricks and confuses things, merging memories poetry and lyrics. An interest in the way a place or memory feels, the joy of the moment that is fleeting is an important element of Jon’s work.
In addition, Jon also works with several art galleries and within the music industry producing limited edition prints for a wide range of clients around from the world. Clients have included The Lumineers, Johnny Flynn and Robert Macfarlane, The Beaumont H otel in London and Dr Martens among others.
Jon has exhibited widely around the UK including The Hepworth Wakefield, Compton Verney and Ulverston Print Fair
