I am Jessie de Salis, a Bristol based textile designer. I hand print fabrics in my studio in Somerset, an old stable shared with the sparrows and house martins.
My designs are bright and bold, inspired by the changing moods of the natural world and tales from years gone by.
Treading lightly on the earth is a guiding force to my business and has led me to print everything by hand. I love how I can source local organic linens, print with water-based inks and oversee the whole print process.
Hand printed fabric has a special quality. My fabrics are individually handled and printed in small batches. The slight variations of handmade work make it personal. Every piece is unique.
