Hello, I’m Claire Thompson, the artist and maker behind Inky Badger.
I’m self-taught and create linocuts and prints from my home studio in West Yorkshire, UK.
My images often feature creatures, symmetry and elements of nature. I take inspiration from the people in my life, the things that I love and everyday occurrences that make me smile.
Although I use traditional methods and materials to create my linocuts, I like to experiment with a variety of techniques to add colour and finish them, such as spray painting, chine collé, metal leaf and hand finishing with inks or paint.
