Davina Schluttenhofer is a graphic designer, illustrator and letterpress printer based in Kent. Davina founded the Hofer studio in the Autumn of 2018. Following 20 years in the design industry Davina moved to the countryside and purchased a cylinder proofing press, thus reigniting her love of the art of letterpress printing established whilst studying at the RCA. Moving from Hackney, East London Davina found herself living next door to the former home of Charles Darwin; with daily walks through his glasshouse and garden, the scent of orchids and the buzz of bees she returned to her love of drawing and nature.
Hofer hand draws and prints letterpress. We take commissions, create greetings cards, prints and ephemera. Our FAG Swiss made cylinder proofing press lets us produce at our own pace. Aside from the occasional super-sized screen or Giclee print everything is produced in the Hofer print shop helping to reduce our environmental impact. Our inks are 90% salvaged (some of our inks are older than Davina), stock FSC-certified and all our packaging is compostable.
From monstera to mangetout, cherries to carrots, we nurture our love of nature through print.
