Heather J. A. Thomson’s practice amalgamates her passion for history and her desire to use a visual language. She feels conversations about the past can inspire is to reflect on the present and question our values.
A print nerd at heart, Thomson loves learning about all print mediums and enjoys working collaboratively with artists as a custom printer. She received her BA from the University of Guelph, Ontario in 2017 and was awarded the 2017-2018 Don Phillips Scholarship at Open Studio, Toronto. As a Class Assistant, Thomson provided technical support to students at OCAD University from 2019 – 2023 and currently teaches at Open Studio.
