Harrison Smith is an artist and relief printmaker born in Portland, Oregon where he lives today. He studied art at PCC, majoring in printmaking, and currently works full time at a screen printing company.
He has been drawing what he sees both objectively and mentally since he was five years old and continues to do so. Although he loves working in a variety of mediums, his work primarily consists of relief printmaking.
Being from the Pacific Northwest, he finds inspiration in the environment that always leaves him awestruck. He is fascinated with life in the wild and the complex systems within it. In his work he expresses that fascination.
