Federico Blu di Prussia is a combination of experimentation and curiosity. He animates the eye on minute details, composes linocuts and spreads knowledge based on wonder.

Federico Blu di Prussia is the personification of an interdisciplinary approach to printmaking, which focuses on linocut and the creation of rubber stamps. The project was born from the research of Federico Fusetti after the three-year training in “Grafica d’Arte” at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice and the MA in “Edizioni e Illustrazione per la Grafica d’Arte” at the Academy of Fine Arts of Urbino. Parallel to academic attendance, workshops relating to the use of the burin and engraving were fundamental. The same interest in linocut was born on the occasion of a workshop at the Opificio della Rosa in Montefiore Conca entitled “Animal Flash Cards in Linocut and Letterpress” curated by Nick Morley and Veronica Bassini. The fruitful collaboration of those days was a reason to carry out in-depth studies, establish new contacts and expand the possibilities thanks also to unexpected partnerships and points of reference both for research and for field activity. Anglo-Saxon manuals and the combination of relief printing with illustration have become indispensable.

Connoisseur of the Rubber Stamping phenomenon and of the contaminations that flat and relief printing bring to the contemporary graphic panorama. The project deals with workshops and laboratories dedicated to linocut and collaborations aimed at independent bookshops, art galleries and printing houses. A fundamental reference is the international reality of contemporary approach with attention to artistic and editorial reviews such as “People of Print” and “Pressing Matters”.
