Emma O’Hara works mainly with Photography and Screen Print. The artist takes her inspiration from everyday encounters with Landscape and Architecture. O’Hara deconstructs her surroundings and highlights them in a new life using interesting compositions and colour. The use of colour is important within her work as it can set the mood. This helps the viewer to feel the senses experienced when one is emerged within a landscape. O’Hara likes to use place-able traits within her work. Using elements of architecture, characteristics of landscapes and even text for the viewer to recognise and in turn relate to.
