Profile
London-based printmaker Ellie Edwards creates food and drink-inspired linocut prints from her kitchen. Her work is inspired by the vast subject of food, be it bowls of pasta she has made herself, pastries she has picked up from her local bakery, or cocktails she has sipped in bars across the world.
Having studied journalism, and worked as a food journalist and editor, Ellie aims to merge her two passions into one, creating beautiful, block colour art to display in the kitchen and dining room.
Through her work, Ellie tries to conjure up memories of wonderful dinners that friends and family have shared together. Her work is hand-drawn first, before being traced and carved out of lino, then hand-pressed onto paper.
Ellie loves working on commissions, both personal and for restaurants, creating artwork specific for people and places, be it espresso martini or sprinkle doughnut prints.
