Christoph Vieweg works as a illustrator and visual artist in Berlin, Germany. With extensive series of works, his work approaches social themes and issues and tries to visually them in a critical and humorous way. In his largest series to date »Soweit die Meldungen« Christoph Vieweg dedicates himself over a period of a year (2015) to radio news, commenting on them daily with a drawing. In the poetry volumes »Vergessenes Oval/ Gedichte aus dem Nachlass von W. Kandinsky« and »diese kleinen in der Luft hängenden bergpredigende Gebilde« (Carl-Christian Elze), both published by Verlagshaus Berlin, poems form the basis for his drawings. Currently, his work can be seen in the German cinema film »Schlaf« (directed by Michael Venus), in which he draws the dream diaries of the of the leading actress Marlene (Sandra Hüller). Since his studies, working with analog printing techniques, such as linocut, woodcut and screen printing is always part of his artistic practice. Christoph also designs gig posters and artwork for bands and festivals. Furthermore, he designs and prints T-shirts, hoodies under his own direction.
