Chris Ashworth is a graphic designer and typographer based in Seattle, USA. He started his career working in fashion, music and the arts as a graphic designer for clients such as Sheffield Leadmill, MTV and WEA Records.

In 1993 he was recognised as the UKs most up and coming typographer in Creative Review’s annual ‘Creative Future’s’ awards. In 1995 he and his design partner won the pitch to design MTVs Blah Blah Blah magazine and subsequently designed the first 6 issues.

In 1997 he became the art director and designer of Ray Gun magazine in Los Angeles where he designed 15 issues.

He returned to the UK in late 1998 and set up his own studio and created work for Penguin Books, North Light Books and Umran Projects.

From 1999 to date he has worked as a Creative Director at 3 corporate brands – Getty Images, Nokia and Microsoft. In his personal time he does commissions for brands in the arts, music and fashion areas including Monster Children magazine, Diesel, Marvin, Huit Denim and New Order.

He is currently working on a book of his work in the creative industry over the last 30+ years.
