Alice Thomas is a Bristol based multidisciplinary printmaker whose creative practice focuses on using the mediums of linocut, silkscreen and risograph printing. She recently finished her second term as a design resident as part of the EMERGE creative graduate programme run by Bath Spa University and Santander.
Alice tries her hand at other creative mediums such as zinemaking, filmmaking and ceramics to create a well rounded and diverse body of work which explores a variety of themes from more lighthearted playful subject matter to more sincere and compelling topics. A driving force behind her work is ensuring it is tactile, accessible and approachable, alongside her artworks she also creates products that can be utilised in everyday life such as tote bags and pouches.
Alice creates a wide range of printed goods using traditional printing techniques. These include prints, wall hangings, tote bags, cards and accessory cases. Her style of work is bold with a large focus on line work, it typically features animals, florals and contrasting colours.
