Profile
I am a Tattoo Artist and Printmaker from Birmingham, England. I do all of my Print work from my small home studio with my two cats as regular studio assistants.
In April 2020 I needed to take a step back from Tattooing due to my health worsening, and find a medium I could work with from home. This led me to find Lino carving and I immediately fell in love. I am a self taught printmaker learning everything through trial, error and studying other printmakers whom I admire. I find the entire process fascinating and enjoyable and aim to continue exploring other printmaking techniques to hone my skills. As well as Lino Carving to create original prints and fabric printing, in January 2022 I started exploring Wood Engraving which I am very excited to continue. This year I will also start my journey into Intaglio printmaking methods, starting with Drypoint.
My work is heavily influenced by my surroundings and what brings me great joy in life; namely nature and animals. Some of my favourite subjects are florals, cats and insects which all feature heavily in my prints. I enjoy working in very small detail and creating contrast; always striving for the balance between positive and negative space.
