Burak Erkil (b. 1985, Istanbul) is a media-based artist with a background in photography and video, which remain a source of inspiration for him. He lives in Berlin. Recently, he has delved into the world of lino printmaking, finding an original excitement in this traditional craft. Thrilled by the interplay between lino print and digitally generated imagery, Erkil explores the dynamic relationship between the two mediums. Through his use of the lino print technique, Erkil believes he breathes life into digitally generated images, presenting them in their most analog and eccentric form.
