Christa Stoop creates with her brand -VAN CHRISTA- abstract, architectonic compositions in different media, such as 3D-print, Screen Print and Fine Art Print. Her work explores geometric shapes and colours inspired by modern architecture, art and design.
The love for geometric shapes originated in the Dutch Polder landscape she grew up in, with its functional lines and characteristics. She is influenced by Dutch artists like Piet Mondriaan, Gerrit Rietveld and Jan Schoonhoven.
All her artworks have an abstract style and tell a story about the daily (build) environment and landscape. In her work she likes to play with self-chosen restrictions and mostly works in series.
