Profile
I’m Jantze, an artist and a printmaker living and working from my home studio in Lincolnshire, UK. I grew up in the 1970s and 80s in a family where art, creativity and practical skills were valued and encouraged, and the need to create and express myself through drawing and making has stayed with me always. I graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in the 1990s and spent the next few decades working, raising a family and relocating to Lincolnshire, always managing to make creative work in different ways (including textiles, rubber stamping and collage) to fit around my life at the time. I now work part time as an art and design technician at the University of Lincoln, helping students with book arts, Risograph printing and digital print. I have set up a dedicated printmaking space at home, which looks out onto the garden. The plants, insects and wildlife in the garden and local area are a constant source of inspiration for my drawing and printmaking work.
