Roby (Loredana Gengler Roby) is an interdisciplinary artist based in Brussels. For some years now, she creates a shapes’s repertoire inspired by moving bodies which she uses as patterns on paper and textile. She wants to perpetuate old printing techniques and enjoys working with different mediums such as etching — mainly on zinc and copper, screen print, monoprint, linocut. These artisanal techniques offer her unique renderings and an infinite possibility of creation. What she likes the most is playing with the boundaries between design and art, digital and print, still and moving images, paper and textile. Roby places great importance on color, shape and texture. She invites you into her colorful world.
