I am a practicing illustrator/artist and over the last 18 months have taught myself to letterpress print. During lockdown I designed and made a letterpress system from scratch including the lettering blocks, a chase system and a press. After a lot of mistakes along the way, I am now at the point where my prints are being sold and I’ve received a number of commissions from individuals and businesses.
I have recently become a member of Leicester Print Workshop and use their facilities and presses to further enhance my work and to develop my skills. I am grateful to be part of their vibrant community. I am currently interested in learning the process of photographic silk screen printing so I can combine the photographic element with the letterpress to further my experiments in printing.
