I´m a Portuguese artist and printmaker, also working as a printmaking technician at the school of arts – University of Évora. My work takes inspiration from a contemporary landscape that is saturated with physical structures like giant buildings, highroads and advertisement signs. The combination of collected images, and the processes of addition and subtraction often appear in my prints. Printmaking addresses the process of automation and mass production that surrounds us, as it offers the possibility to combine multiple layers over and over. In contrast, it also allows us to explore the singularity of each print, making it unique and unrepeatable.
