Profile
I studied BA illustration at Middlesex university post graduate studies at Central St Martins school of Art and Design. I’ve been illustrating for a wide range of clients across the industry since 2001. Ideas are king! My aim is to provide a concise visual solution in a strong and immediate graphic composition. Much of my work has a conceptual take that provides a visual twist and depth. Concepts are very important, as are colours and shapes! Inspiration comes particularly from early 20thC design, and the forced economy of early printing processes.
I’ve honed my work illustrating for such clients as – The BBC, The Royal Mail, The New York Times, Nature, Publicis, Caspian Publishing, M&C Saatchi, The Economist, The Financial Times, The Sunday Times, The Guardian, Corbett, The New Scientist, Medicus, OUP, The Radio Times, The Telegraph, The Observer, Verizon, Virgin Atlantic, The Independent, Aviva, Sony, The NY Observer, Restaurant magazine, The Washington Post, Bloomsbury, Portobello, BMP DBB, AMV BBDO, Time Out, Time Out NY, Mckinsey, The Folio Society, Hodder, Design Week, Interbrand, BT, Conran Design, etc.
My work has also been awarded a D&AD Yellow Pencil, and has been selected for 3×3 Annual, Creative Review Annual, The AOI World Illustration Awards, Communication Arts and American Illustration.
