Profile
I am an independent printmaker with a background in architecture and graphic design. I am a full-time tattoo shop manager, and my enthusiasm for tattoos is obvious in my work. Tattoo imagery holds a strong tradition, and is constantly reinterpreted and reimagined by tattoo artists around the world. With my linocuts, I reference these traditional designs and present them in a new medium, other than skin or painting. When it comes to the technique, I am hugely influenced by the German Expressionists woodcutting artists, with their truth to material and evidence of the gauge marks.
I hold a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the University of Sao Paulo, and a masters degree in Library and Information Science from City, University of London.
