Profile
Information is the starting point for all of my work. I focus on social, political and ethical issues and through my work I hope to educate and inform. I graduated from University for the Creative Arts last year with a degree in Graphic Design and spent half of my second year studying on an Erasmus Exchange in Milan at Istituto Europeo di Design. I thoroughly enjoy exploring the relationship between design, the craft of production and how it is then going to be communicated to an audience. I am passionate about screen printing, letterpress, book binding and editorial design. I like to experiment with different materials and mediums that I can use to design and print with that are sustainable and will not damage the future of our world. For one of my projects (and my favourite!) I designed a manifesto for the creation of a sustainable office building /environment. Inspired by Graviky Labs and their use of air pollution in inks, I came up with seven considerations that were then screen printed onto an A1 sheet of 100% recycled paper using my own sustainable coffee and matcha tea inks. On the reverse a net allows the user to create their own paper plant pots, making the manifesto reusable as well as sustainable. The aim of my work is to create an impact.
