I am a printmaker, painter, and graphic designer, based in St. Louis, Missouri. My first degree is a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts from Missouri State University in Springfield where I studied painting. My second degree is a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts from Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri where I studied graphic design.
I am truly obsessed with everything printmaking. At any given moment I am working on 3-5 prints which are in various stages of completion. I work primarily with copper etchings, screenprints, and woodcuts. I will occasionally work on acrylic or oil paintings and cyanotypes. Most recently I have been working with mezzotinting and engraving. The technique chosen to work with matches the aesthetic I am attempting to create. I work heavily on copper using intaglio techniques when I am looking to use intense value shifts and a significant amount of detail. This juxtaposes my use of large crosshatching in my woodcuts to create stark value transitions.
Most recently I am working on a significant number of figural works. I am interested in storytelling through imagery. Though some prints are personal, others are intended as memento mori.
