Jamie Accashian has been practicing printmaking since 2013 when she graduated with a BFA in Illustration from Rhode Island School of Design. She began exploring printmaking in 2012 during an independent study in Rome, Italy, and studied traditional Japanese woodblock printing upon returning to the US. These methods have informed her collection of hand-printed goods, where she delights in the subtle variances of a meticulous medium.Â
She applies the traditional methods of block printing to her handmade greeting cards, prints, bags, towels, and pillows, and is drawn to print for its tactile and succinct nature. Her subject matter is largely inspired by collage, vintage prints, graphic design, nature, and aimless doodles.Â
