Profile
Gemma is a printmaker working mainly in lino and woodcut on paper and textiles in Somerset, UK.
She is inspired by the work of William Morris and Aubrey Beardsley and preoccupied with old scientific reference diagrams, the weird creatures of our natural word, buried treasure, gothic novels and the mythology of landscape and narrative.
After graduating from a degree in Fine Art, she worked in the TV industry until fleeing from London to the countryside where she set up her print studio and aims to produce a range of wallpapers, have her work reproduced on a wine/gin/beer bottle and create an illustrated children’s book. Or die trying.
