Profile
My prints aim to be a feast for the eyes, an exercise in both visualizing information and surrendering to nostalgia. Drawing from history, pop culture, and personal memories, my subjects trend moody and a bit irreverent. After transferring line drawings to linoleum and other block materials, I spend days carving with micro palm tools to achieve highly detailed designs. On average, my prints are rarely larger than 5×8 inches.
I’m a copywriter by day—on evenings and weekends, I spend as much time as possible sketching, carving, and printing. Mostly just to make myself happy, but I love it when people find a sense of familiarity in my work. I’m thinking about an MFA, and daydreaming about sunsets on Ocracoke Island, NC.
I love building tiny worlds ripe for exploration, unearthing stories rich with humor and irony as I carve. I hope anyone who glances or lingers delights in the little discoveries.
