(de)Conceptualise is an independent art practice created by Pedro Gil Farias, a Portuguese Design Researcher currently based in the Netherlands. Pedro’s work explores design’s role as a problem-setting exercise to provoke and engage people in critical reflections about current and future ways of being and our relationship to technology and the designed world.
(de)Conceptualise is an extension of that work: materialised thoughts. Provocations to think critically about the present and future(s). The designs have a specific concept as a starting point, that then emerge visually through modern tools (3D, vector, etc.) and are made tangible through traditional printing techniques (linocut).
