Carmen Reina is a Berlin-based illustrator and graphic designer from Spain with a background in architecture and the greatest love for dance, body expression and rhythm. The way she represents the human body is not too far from architectural graphic representation. Her characters are not afraid of space nor can they be repressed in their body language.
Her first contact with printing was in the silkscreen printing studio at the University of the Arts in Berlin, which became her happy place throughout her studies. However, Carmen’s favourite printing method is risography, as she loves the combination of risography and original handmade interventions, which makes each print a unique work of art.
Apart from design and illustration, what Carmen likes best is dancing. She aspires to illustrate as she dances, and dance as she illustrates. Through her experiences as a swing dancer, she portraits the world of dance and nightlife; a world where emotions run high. All eyes on you.
