Adeline Meilliez is a French artist who has lived and worked in Berlin for 12 years.
She constantly experiments and pushes the technique to its limits. Her work is all about depth, shade and light, standing somewhere between fading-in and fading-out.
Floral motifs remain central to her work. They allow for an exploration of the shapes, giving her free rein to express a vibrant explosion of colours. Combining several techniques – photograming, monotyping, screen printing, and painting – she superimposes inks to build images ranging from transparent to opaque in bright and fluorescent colours. Like assembling a bouquet of flowers, the whole process is extremely intuitive. Her compositions are modern, graphic and powerful.
