Erik Pedersen is a multidisciplinary artist, designer, and musician. He's also the founder of Drum Machine Editions, an independent publishing house and print shop in Asheville, North Carolina.
He has exhibited recently at Zverev Center of Contemporary Art (Moscow, Russia), The Wassaic Project (Wassaic, NY), Site:Brooklyn (Brooklyn, NY), Wonder Fair (Lawrence, KS), and Tessellate Gallery (Pontiac, MI). He’s been a visiting artist lecturer at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania and an artist-in-residence at The Pajama Factory, Tessellate Gallery, and Vermont Studio Center. His prints and books are in the collections of the Moniker Press Riso Library (Vancouver, BC, Canada), Pascal Fouché’s Flip Book Archive (Malakoff, France), the Studio Paper+ DOUBLE GOOD Archives, The Southeast Review, and the Southern Graphics Council International Archives at the Bernard A. Zuckerman Museum of Art. Pedersen received his MFA from Florida State University and a BA in studio art and creative writing from Bloomsburg University.
As the publisher & master printer behind Drum Machine Editions, he has tabled at a slate of digital-only art book fairs in 2020-2021: the Vancouver Art Book Fair, Small Press Fair Fort Lauderdale, HYPERTEXT (Bound Art Book Fair), Bergen Art Book Fair, and the Printed Matter Virtual Art Book Fair.
