I am a professional stage designer and interdisciplinary graphic artist. While I respect traditional graphic design methods, I also love to play around and adapt tradition to unexpected, new settings – for example, I love to develop graphic language for theatre scenography. I am also making sure that my scope of sophistication in the field of visual arts is always expanding. This I accomplish by travelling and actively taking part in all different kinds of workshops, and the benefits I reap are to be recognized in my work.

Education

2010 – 2016 National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Arts, where I learned lithography, monotype, linocut and other graphic techniques and specialised in printmaking.

2021 Bachelor’s degree in Vilnius Academy of Arts (Set Design).

2024 Master’s degree in Vytautas Magnus University (Comparative Culture Studies).

2018 International creative workshop “Sculptural Research”, organised by “Cirrus Express”.

2019 Studies exchange at Rome University of Fine Arts (Scenography).

2020 Workshop “Rethinking Alive as Material”, advisor Rūta Spelskytė.

2021 Internship at “Hotel Pro Forma” theatre in Denmark. Scenography assistant for “Operation: Orfeo” and “Amduat. Oxygen machine”.

2022 Erasmus+ internship at publishing house “Ausra” in Punsk, Poland. Book layouts, illustrations for school textbooks, and other graphic design work.

2022.09 – 2023.05 Studies exchange at University of Turin, Italy (Cultural Anthropology and Ethnology).
