Datum Press

Brooke Dexter is a Detroit-based artist whose work is influenced by her architectural background. She draws inspiration from cartography, information-based patterns, and snail mail. She frequently creates maps centered around personal geographies, fusing city grids together for a one-of-a-kind print. She screen prints and letterpresses her prints under the name Datum Press and occasionally runs letterpress printing workshops. Previously a member of Gowanus Studio Space in Brooklyn, she recently made the move back to Michigan, where she’s settling into a new world of printmaking opportunities.
