LK James is an artist and designer whose work is open-hearted, wry, and exuberant. Inspired by everyday objects and the natural world, LK utilizes traditional and lo-fi printmaking processes along with digital tools to create colorful compositions rich with texture.
In addition to designing books in collaboration with clients in the publishing industry, she continues to develop a body of work in the form of printmaking, drawing, painting, and publications.
Her first children’s book, The Full House and The Empty House, is published by Chicago Review Press.
She studied English literature at Portland State University (2010) and received an MFA in Applied Craft + Design from Pacific Northwest College of Art (2018). Currently, runs her studio and showroom in California.
